Are you ready for a bucket list

Fitness bucket list
In case you haven’t seen the movie “The Bucket List” (like myself), the premise is to do things that you’ve always wanted to do before you die-kick the bucket. It seems like a good idea for a movie, and a great idea for us all to put into practice.
Some shoes, a rope, and a pinch of imagination
Always on the lookout for entertaining blog posts, I stumbled on this one at OhSheGlows.com. The author, Angela, wrote about a list of fitness goals that she wants to complete, like running in a marathon, etc.
I am currently working on one of my own bucket list items, but I think I will add a few more to keep things interesting. After all, don’t we have to continue to challenge ourselves daily?
For example, I’m not a runner. I flat out don’t like it-never have-probably never will. What I do love to do is challenge myself. Just to say that I did it, I’m going to run a half marathon. I’m still working on other items, but this is a start.
So, what’s in your bucket? Maybe climb a mountain? Go skydiving? Do a triathlon? Let’s hear some of your bucket list.
You can leave a response, or trackback from your own site.

@Todd You’re going to go from a non-runner to a half-marathon? That’s a lot of distance. You gonna survive?

@Tim well, the great thing about buckets is that it is just as easy to take things out as they are to put them in. If I change my mind, I’m good with that. LOL

Congrats on deciding to run a half! You may find that it makes you like running more than you think is possible.
When I signed up for my first marathon, I did it purely for the challenge and because I thought once I did it, I could call myself “fit.” I didn’t like running. But then I became obsessed with qualifying for Boston, and seven years later, I can finally say that I love it.
Good luck! My bucket list, for now: run a 100-miler and do an Ironman triathlon.
